Lent is a time when God opens the doors of mercy in a unique way and to a profound degree. We all need an annual time of year in which we daily pause and refocus. During Lent, every one of us will benefit from increased times of prayer and reflection. We will benefit from opportunities of self-examination. And we will benefit from actively trying to strengthen our many virtues.
