Excipite, omnes! We are very excited to announce that St. Mary’s Parish is offering a free Introduction to Latin course in the summer of 2017. Classes meet for about an hour every week in the school building, where we will learn the essentials of Latin grammar, vocabulary, and translation. No knowledge of Latin is assumed. Our goal for this class is to gain a basic reading ability in the Latin of the Mass and of the Vulgate Bible. The Latin language, in all its beauty and precision, is crucial to the great work we do at St. Mary’s; our hope is that those who are interested may be able to access that language.
