| I am pleased to announce that plans for renovation of the parking lot have been finalized. All we await is a starting date. The parking lot will be inaccessible for approximately four days. Obviously, we will ensure that it is available for the usual weekend Mass traffic. We are especially looking forward to an increased number of parking spaces (ca. 30), LINES which will indicate exactly where to park, and a fresh look. Additionally, the life of the current surface will be extended. I will let you know the dates as soon as they are available.
Our RCIA program will begin on Tuesday, September 1st. Anyone aged 7 and above who is interested in receiving the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Communion) should contact the office. As the summer season comes to an unofficial end with the Labor Day weekend, we welcome back to our campus the staff and students of Regina Pacis Academy. In the wake of the Coronavirus the school will be operating a little differently. Nevertheless, we are happy to see things slowly but surely returning to “normal”. We welcome especially the new students and their families as well as the new teachers. The old “Courage” office space is also receiving a facelift including a new floor, a fresh coat of paint, and the removal of the walls that divided it into three separate rooms. This space will replace the Saint Therese Room as our medium- sized parish meeting room. Please note that we have added a sung Latin Mass at 11:15 on Sundays to accommodate the overflow from the 9:30. Unfortunately, it does not look as though our limit of 100 people per Mass will change anytime soon. Call the office for weekend Mass reservations. Fr. Ringley |
Me complace anunciar que se han finalizado los planes para la renovación del estacionamiento. Todo lo que esperamos es una fecha de inicio. El estacionamiento estará inaccesible durante aproximadamente cuatro días. Obviamente, nos aseguraremos de que esté disponible para el tráfico masivo habitual del fin de semana. Con esta renovación esperamos contar con un mayor numero de espacios para estacionar (aprox. 30), y LÍNEAS que indiquen exactamente dónde estacionar. También esta nueva renovación le dará al lugar una apariencia mas atractiva. Tan pronto como tengamos las fechas de inicio, les estaré informando.
Nuestro programa de RICA comenzará el martes 1 de septiembre. Cualquier persona de 7 años o más que esté interesada en recibir los sacramentos de iniciación (bautismo, confirmación y comunión) debe comunicarse con la oficina. A medida que la temporada de verano llega a su fin, con la fecha oficial del Día del Trabajo, le damos la bienvenida a nuestro campus a maestros, alumnos y todo el personal de la Academia Regina Pacis. A raíz del coronavirus, la academia funcionara de manera diferente. Sin embargo, nos complace ver que las cosas poco a poco están volviendo a la “normalidad”, lentamente pero con precaución. Le damos la mas cordial bienvenida especialmente a los nuevos estudiantes y a sus familias, al igual que a los nuevos profesores. El espacio que ocupaba anteriormente la oficina de Courage, también está siendo renovado. Estamos agregando un piso nuevo, pintando las paredes y eliminando las paredes que dividían el local. Este espacio servirá como nuestro salón parroquial y reemplazara al salón de Santa Teresa en donde se llevaban a cabo las actividades de la parroquia. Además, les informamos que hemos agregado una Misa Cantada los domingos a las 11:15 de la mañana para acomodar a las personas que no pueden asistir a las 9:30 por falta de cupo. Desafortunadamente, no parece que nuestro límite de 100 personas por Misa vaya a cambiar en un futuro cercano.
