| Happy New Year to all! We are happy to report that, thanks to your generosity, the gym roof is completely repaired, and the new exhaust fans have been installed. We look forward to experiencing their effect when the weather changes.
Thank you to those who helped to “un-decorate” the church after Christmas. Their availability necessitated our removing the decorations a little early, but we are grateful for their having undertaken this rather large and time-consuming task in their free time. Thanks, too, to the men who dismantled the outdoor nativity set on the coldest day of the year. It’s only 11 more months ‘til Christmas. Please note that we will change the time of the early DAILY Mass (Monday through Friday) from 8:00 am back to 7:30 am beginning on Monday February 3rd. This change has been requested by the school families, in order that more of them may be able to attend daily Mass before school begins. We will try this new arrangement and see how well it works out. I appreciate the sacrifice to be made on the part of those who regularly attend Mass at 8:00. If more people actually attend the daily Mass, it will have been worth the inconvenience. Connecticut’s first official March for Life event will take place on April 15th, 2020 at the State Capital. Stay tuned for further details. Thank you to Angelica Martinez for organizing our bus to the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. last week. Thanks, too, to all who were able to go, and to all those who made some other form of penance or sacrifice that day for this most-important intention. We will continue to pray for a reversal of this decision, which discriminates against the unborn. |
¡Feliz Año Nuevo para todos! Nos complace informar que, gracias a su generosidad, el techo del gimnasio está completamente reparado y se han instalado los nuevos extractores. Esperamos experimentar su efecto cuando cambie el clima.
Gracias a los que ayudaron a guardar las decoraciones de Navidad en nuestra Iglesia. Les estamos muy agradecidos por brindarnos su tiempo libre para llevar a cabo esta gran tarea, que requiere de mucho tiempo y esfuerzo. Gracias también a los hombres que desmantelaron el belén de afuera de la Iglesia en el día más frío del año. Les recordamos que ¡Solo faltan 11 meses más para Navidad! También les informamos que a partir del lunes 3 de febrero, cambiaremos el horario de las Misas diarias (lunes a viernes) de las 8:00AM a las 7:30AM. Este cambio ha sido solicitado por las familias de la escuela, para que más alumnos y padres de familia puedan asistir antes de las clases. Intentaremos este nuevo arreglo y veremos qué tan bien funciona. Aprecio el sacrificio que deben hacer quienes asisten regularmente a la Misa de las 8:00. Si más personas realmente asisten a la Misa diaria, habrá valido la pena el cambio y las molestias ocasionadas. El primer evento oficial de la Marcha por la Vida de Connecticut tendrá lugar el 15 de abril de 2020 en la Capital del Estado. Estén atentos para más detalles. Gracias a Angélica Martínez por organizar nuestro autobús a la Marcha por la Vida anual en Washington, D.C. la semana pasada. Gracias también a todos los que pudieron ir, y a todos aquellos que hicieron alguna otra forma de penitencia o sacrificio ese día por esta intención tan importante.
